I Miss You

I Miss You by blink-182 is one of those great songs that are hard to find. The song itself is very different and while having a sweet message, the lyrics are slightly on the darker side, which makes a great and different mix for an amazing song. The album it's on (Blink-182) is also great and one of my own all-time favorite albums.

If you like this song, Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer have a really great cover of it on their YouTube channel that takes a softer approach on the song, if you like that kind of thing.

Carry You

Carry You is the first original single released by the X Factor UK band Union J. I feel like this song is really just uplifting and lets you know that there's always someone out there that can help you if you ever need it. Their voices are very smooth and clear, and I feel like that is what makes the song. The ending could be a bit better, but overall this song is amazing. If you like bands like One Direction, you'll probably like this song, as well as the band.

Michael Clifford

Okay, so this isn't a favorite. I just wanted to acknowledge that today is the 18th birthday of Michael Clifford, one of the members of 5SOS (5 Seconds of Summer). If you don't listen to their music, you really should try it.

Last Christmas

Last Christmas is the first of four new singles off of Ariana Grande's Christmas EP. There will be three more released in the next three weeks.

Last Christmas is a remake of the original, but with her softer tone and amazing vocals this is a great song to throw you into the Christmas season. It's available on iTunes to download as of now. With her now familiar friends to her music, The Rascals, kicking the song off as well as the festive jingle bells, this song is definitely a recommendation.

Midnight Memories Deluxe

Okay, so you might know that Midnight Memories was leaked today- including the deluxe songs. I'm not sure how we do it, but I was excited. Now, we might have already downloaded everything but we still have to but the album for the boys.

Anyways, the album is absolutely amazing. Their new sound really shows through and fits their new styles and personalities, really. Yes, they're still the same 5 boys on the stairs, but they've grown. 4/5 are no longer teenagers. The sound is really evolved and a bit more rock inspired.

Best Song Ever- Everyone's familiar with this one. It's just a fun, light-hearted single to get everyone hyped up for this album. It shows a bit of the new and the old styles of the boys in a fun and danceable way.

Story of My Life- This is a bit more of a serious and slower song. It's pretty uplifting and the vocals in it are amazing.

Diana- I'm sure a lot of us on twitter heard this when it leaked about a month or so ago, but it's an amazing song that really showed the fans a new sound. It's really serious and is a song that has helped so many of the fans with lyrics like 'let me be the one to pick your heart up and save your life/I don't think you even realize/baby you'd be saving mine.

Midnight Memories- This song definitely has a more rock inspired sound which does something amazing for all of the boy's vocals. It's just another of those fun songs like Up All Night which the first album was named after.

You and I- I'm not sure whether or not to call it 'slow' but it's definitely more slow paced than their more pop songs. It's another of those love songs from them that makes all their fans happy and smile at the heartfelt lyrics.

Don't Forget Where You Belong- This is a song about not forgetting where you come from and how that will forever be where you belong. While this song is a bit faster and can't exactly be classified as slow, you can feel all of their emotions singing about home.

Strong- This is kind of a love song in a different way sung about a person that keeps them strong and able to keep going. It's really relatable, especially for the fans- the boys are those people. It's an amazing song and one of the most connectable for a lot of people.

Happily- Happily is just an amazing song. It's kind of rock based but it still has some of their old selves in it. The vocals in it are just beautiful and it'd definitely one of my favorites out of the 18.

Right Now- This song is just a great song just kind of about living in the moment. The solos are really defined. It's also about someone wishing their other half was there to share this moment.

Little Black Dress- This is definitely a newer area for the boys with lyrics like 'I wanna see the way you move for me baby.' The beginning is also very new for them. This song really just shows off their new sides.

Through The Dark- This has a bit more of a folky tone, but it's my favorite off of the album. It's just a sweet song the 3/5 with girlfriends wrote on tour about missing them. It really sounds like it was written on tour and from their hearts. With lyrics like 'when the night is coming down/we will find a way through the dark' which is really just great I believe.

Something Great- I feel like this is a happier song about a great thing. When the boys sing together in this song it sounds amazing and it really is something great. It's a great song to pick you up when everything is not so great.

Little White Lies- This contributes to their newer sound. It's somewhat about losing faith/trust in a relationship because of dishonesty in the basic. The chorus is really strong in the vocals and it's just a great song.

Better Than Words- Better Than Words is about something so great that words really can't describe it. It feels like it comes from the heart and I love listening to it.

Why Don't We Go There- The start and the whole song is really their new sound. The lyrics are a bit different for them and really just out there. The chorus has some great vocals and the song is just great.

Does He Know?- This is more about a guy and a girl together and how he knows everything about her it seems and from their stand point they feel like he only knows what he sees and it's not real. It's another one of those songs from them that it's like watching these two people together and it's not right.

Alive- Alive is really just about feeling alive and living in the moment not caring about anyone else. I really take this to heart and appreciate this song because it's about someone being judged who's just trying to live his life and make things work almost. The chorus in this is also strong.

Half A Heart- This is about missing someone so much you're only half the person you were and you have half a heart. You can feel the emotion in this because all the boys have felt this at one point or another.

The total album is just amazing. If you want to wait a week until it's officially out, go ahead. But I couldn't wait. If you're having trouble finding a good place to listen to the songs, this website works for me: http://www.aimini.net/search/?q=Midnight%20memories&crpl=0-mvetsc-u&tot=x&nxt=10

Awkward.

This is one of my favorite TV shows. It has such a relatable plot line that happen to so many girls- minus the romance. While the story line is a bit overdone, the actors and actresses manage to continue producing amazing and hilarious episodes. The characters keep the plot going and are so unique yet cliche at the same time. This is definitely a show I recommend.

Teenagers

Teenagers by My Chemical Romance is just an all around amazing song. It gets pretty crazy at some parts, but I love it. Not only does this song have a catchy tune, but it addresses real life problems

This song is definitely worth a try. It's just a really cool sound as well as all the other songs by this group.
